Shirley Mae Young
YORK – Shirley Mae (Deppen) Young, 90, of York, passed away, Monday, February 26, 2024, at Spring Creek Rehabilitation Center in Harrisburg, PA.
Ms. Young was born September 24, 1933, in Muncy, Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Reverend Lee Deppen, and Marian (Dimm) Deppen.
She was a gifted musician and loved sharing her talents as a piano teacher, organist, and choir director. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, York, 1st Ward.
Ms. Young was survived by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia, and Joe Norman of Beavertown, PA.
Her services and burial will be private. Her burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Middleburg, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Mont Wolf.
