Lillian L. Anspach

DOVER – Lillian L. (Louser) Anspach, 101 of Dover, PA, passed away, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her home in Dover, PA.  She was the wife of the late Herman F. Anspach, Jr., who passed away August 12, 2019.

Lillian was born July 9, 1924, in Lebanon, PA and was the daughter of the late Herman and Marion (Rauch) Louser.

She graduated in 1942 from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, PA.  She worked at Haak Department Store in Lebanon until graduation and then worked as a dispatch clerk in the office of the Bethlehem Steel Co in Lebanon. Later she was a receptionist at the chamber of Commerce in Lancaster and volunteered at the visitor center and served as a volunteer at voting polls for 45 years.  She was a charter member of the Lancaster Four Seasons Club and her high school reunion committee.  Some notable memorable travel experiences were to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and cruised to Nassau.  She and her husband traveled by van to all the state capitals of the USA except Alaska and Hawaii. 

Lillian is survived by her daughter, Eileen Close and her husband Duane of Dover, PA; her sons, James Anspach and his wife Laura of Bend, OR, and Stephen Anspach and his wife Leeanne of Lititz, PA; five grandchildren, Heather Beam (Jesse), Kevin Close (Vicki), Holly Sarti, Dr. Amber Crow (Ashley), and Emily Pitt (Brian); thirteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Louise Keefer.

Her funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 27, 2026, at Diehl Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 87 South Main Street, Mount Wolf, PA.  Her burial will be private in Mount Annville Cemetery in Annville, PA.  Officiating at her service will be Reverend Dr. Eddie Miller.
